The Time of Our Lives is story - a glimpse really - into how two individuals and their families are thinking about their lives and, more importantly, living their lives in the knowledge and context of having brain cancer. Their story is told through a collection of still photographs enriched by each patient's own first person voice and the wise perspective of their physician. The resulting pilot documentary reveals the strength, vulnerability, and ultimately, nobility of these two patients within the simplicity of the choices they make when time is precious. Their story is about the time of all of our lives, how we think about time, and how we choose to live in that time.

Our aim has been to tell these stories both for patients facing brain cancer today and for those who will come after them. By focusing narrowly and deeply on the experience of these patients, we aim to connect with something larger, more universal and common to our humanity. As this project expands, our objective is to create a mosaic of stories that broaden our insight into the experience of people living with brain cancer, to educate a wider audience, and to support future research. We tell this story so that people who might otherwise turn away will instead be engaged and captivated, will stop and think, and will be drawn to help.
